The QUEEN collection is an ongoing series of mixed media portraits of women who inspire me including notable historical women and present-day SHEROES. I wanted to celebrate women who have worked tirelessly to make a better, more just, and equitable world, for the next generation.
I wanted to celebrate in a playful and not so subtle way the title of a "QUEEN" using the composition of a playing card. If the U.S. had royalty based on merit and contribution to society, these ladies would be American Queens.
These portraits are just the beginning of a multi-disciplinary body of work.
