Women Who Will

Women Who Will

In spring of 2019, I was commissioned by Lyft in partnership with Tishman Speyer to create a Women Who Will mural on Pennsylvania Ave. This 50‘ x 50’ mural was created to celebrate Women's History Month. The project represents the hardworking women who are building DC through innovation and policy. It shows the unifying force and common goal of continuing to keep preserving and building.

I am intensely proud to be a woman entrepreneur and business owner in Washington, DC, so when asked to create a mural by Lyft & Tishman Speyer that highlights DC women-owned businesses, I jumped at the idea. I thought that the image of "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper" was inspiring with a rich metaphor for what is required to build anything. The camaraderie, risk, and courage it takes to work together and the results that you can expect from that hard work. It made sense to re-imagine this image with women working over the DC cityscape.
